By Road: 

Getting to Kellys Bay is straightforward, with scenic routes that take you through rolling farmland, native forest, and along the edges of the Kaipara Harbour. It’s best accessed via Pouto Road, which connects to Kellys Bay Road then Bay View Road. The journey to Kellys Bay offers several opportunities to stop and explore local attractions, beaches, and small townships along the way.

You’ll need a rental vehicle or private transfer to reach us from either airport. The drive is relaxed and scenic, with the option to stop at local cafes, beaches, and lookouts along the way.

Getting to Glinks Gully 

Located on the west coast of Northland, Glinks Gully offers a peaceful beachfront setting on the edge of the Tasman Coast. Situated within the Kaipara District and approximately 20 minutes from Dargaville, it’s an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet coastal escape, expansive ocean views, and relaxed holiday vibes. 

 

By Road: 

Getting to Glinks Gully is straightforward and scenic. From Dargaville, Take Pouto Rd to Charity Hill Rd in Aratapu. Then  continue on Charity Hill Rd. Take W Coast Rd and Redhill Rd to Rope Cres in Te Kōpuru 

 

Driving times to Glinks Gully from major North Island cities: 

  • Whangārei – 1 hr 15 min (80 km)
  • Auckland – 2.5–3 hrs (190 km) 
  • Hamilton – 4 hrs (310 km) 
  • Tauranga – 5.5–6 hrs (400 km)
